My Thoughts About Being Wise and My 30 Day Challenge

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
~The Bible, The Book of Proverbs

Two days ago, I gave myself a 30-day challenge and that is to make a hundred blog posts. Well, this very blog post was counted though. I already had 53 before this so I had to make 47 to finish the challenge. Not bad and very doable. There's no really a strict rules for blogging especially if your like me who's blogging for the sake of blogging, for the sake of just wanting to share some thoughts and make some space in the cyber space somehow. Well, also to help you 'cause sometimes I post something about internet tools and useful websites that might help you. So this blog(1pinoyblogger) is not for vanity's sake only.

I already said this in this blog many times before but I'm saying this again. I'm really in the state where I need to learn more and that will not be changed. I might changed in order to grow and to cope-up in this never-ending changing world but I will never become wise enough. Being wise is a journey and not a destination, 'cause if it is a place then I will never arrived. All wisdom came from God. So infinite, internet would be like an single pixel compared to God's wisdom.

So why am I now talking about being wise? I'm not really sure, this is the topic that just came from me in this very moment. I got to make plenty of blog posts fast but at least even though I'm in a hurry, I want every blog posts to be worth reading. If not all of them then at least some of them.

Be a student of life. Answer these three of the greatest life's question: DID I LIVE? DID I LOVE? DID I MATTER?

Something Fascinating: Mathenatical Love Letter

Valentines' Day is a long way to go but I just love to post this. When I read it from an email at work, I got fascinated so I send it to the girl I'm courting to. I don't know if she knew that I'm courting her 'cause I never told her, hoping she could feel it.

I know when it comes to this matter, I need more maturity 'cause I've never been in a relationship though I got a lot of acquaintances (most of them were my friends and some were girls). Ok, just read on and hopefully you can relate to this mathematical love letter. She said she don't understand the love letter 'cause she don't love math that much.

I'm just happy to share you this. By the way, I'm a registered electrical engineer that's why I can relate to this. My fellow engineers and math enthusiasts will probably appreciate this love letter, too.

This love letter comes from a math teacher.

"My Dear SweetHeart,

Yesterday, I was passing by your rectangular house in trigonometric lane.

There I saw you with our cute circular face, conical nose and spherical eyes, standing in your triangular garden.

Before seeing you my heart was a null set, but when a vector of magnitude (likeness) from your eyes at a deviation of theta radians made a tangent to my heart, it differentiated.

My love for you is a quadratic equation with real roots, which only you can solve by making good binary relation with me.

The cosine of my love for you extends to infinity.

I promise that I should not resolve you into partial functions but if I do so, you can integrate me by applying the limits from zero to infinity.

You are as essential to me as an element to a set.

The geometry of my life revolves around your acute personality.

My love, if you do not meet me at parabola restaurant on date 10 at sunset, when the sun is making an angle of 160 degrees, my heart would be like a solved polynomial of degree 10.

With love from your higher order derivatives of maxima and minima, of an unknown function.
"

[via Love n maths]

There were really infinite ways to express your love to that very special someone. ♥

How Does Being More Connected Work? (Personal View)

I didn't realize that the month of March became my "No Blog Post" month. April Fool's day had passed and now I'm fooling around writing something.

March is also my "Improve My Self-Esteem" month. I read so many inspirational books and digital books(in pdf form), listened to audio interviews and audio books. I learned a lot from doing that but there's something's missing. I'm still isolating myself to people, I know I don't have to please everybody but I don't have to hide myself  living in my own cave.

For two consecutive weeks, I've been attending seminar from Singles for Christ in Cabuyao, Laguna(province in the Philippines). I'm also in Laguna but it will took me two hours to get to Cabuyao. I know that God has always something for me, His plans is infinitely greater than us. I met those people when I decided to attend "The Feast" from the Light of Jesus Community founded by Bro. Bo Sanchez. Though I never met Bro.Bo, he teach me a lot of lessons about life and God. He never knew this but Bro. Bo is one of the main reason why I'm writing a blog(I'll tell that story later).

Back to my story about me attending Singles For Christ seminars, last topic was about God's love and it is quoted in this bible verse from John 3:16 which says

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

I plan to go to "The Feast" which is also in Laguna, this time in Sta.Rosa and about two hours traveling time from where I live. I was alone finding an empty seat and after a couple of minutes then I find one. In that whole row there's just only one empty seat. So I ask those people seating in that row if there is someone supposedly in that seat. They told me they're waiting for someone but anyway they allow me to seat there.

My seatmate greeted me, introduced me to his friends and after "The Feast" we take some pictures. Yes, we take some pictures as we were friends for years when the truth is I barely know them. They don't treat me as some kind of stranger, in-fact they invited me to join them for dinner. We got some nice chit-chat and learned that they were members of Singles for Christ in Cabuyao. They invite me to attend their seminars and I said yes. After dinner we parted our ways and so glad to meet those wonderful people of God.

Connecting the Dots

It all starts when I read the post from Bro.Bo's blog more than two years ago. The post was about Jomar Hilario conducting a internet marketing seminar. I was not sure about that and I think that might be a scam. But the fact that Jomar was introduced by a very incredible and holy man, then I tried my best to pay-up the price to attend that event. Since then, I start attending more internet marketing seminars from Jomar and other seminars from John Callub and Trace Trajano. I started reading books about business and anything that is inspirational to me. Attending those seminars to me was no joke, working in a manufacturing company my salary is almost barely for me and the tuition feed of my sisters and my youngest brother.

But, I can't see any result. Ok there is but what I mean is a result in terms of earnings. I want to be wealthy, but there again something missing. I need some spiritual nourishment. I always go to church every Sunday which I think makes me an obedient Catholic. I realized that more than going to church someday, I also need a kind of community where there is sharing of God's love in everyone.

Although it all starts from reading a blog from a great spiritual leader, I've always been a skeptic. I just want to earn a living and tithe someday. So I push myself more to attend another gathering, this time a spiritual gathering and I already told you what happens.

Acceptance Not Annoyance

One of the blocks of doing the things that I want to do is confusion. Aside from battling my insecurities where I slowly winning. I was confused if I had to abandoned my friends who has not had the mindset which I think I had. Sorry for being so self-righteous, I now accept every person that comes to my life but still cautious. We all had imperfections, I accepted mine and with other people as well.

I'm saying that I'm attending seminar from spiritual communities like Singles for Christ but I also admit that I for the month of March. I've been drinking a lot(like beer and some hard drinks) not that I got a lot of problem but I just want to know more about the people at work. Mostly people tell you their stories when they were drunk. I became closer with more people but I can't take away the guilt.

But the highlights of my friendship is not just about being drunk with them. Last week, we had our summer outing again in Laguna but this time in Nagcarlan. We ate, we play parlor games, we also watch a movie. I enjoyed a lot not because of the beauty of the place or the great foods but because of the people. The more I exposed myself to more people the more I improve my self-esteem, that's why I said that March is "Improve my Self-esteem Month". I loved to be connected with more people.

I read the newest blog post from Bro.Bo about acceptance. Bro.Bo Sanchez said that some people in church is annoyed with people they think were not spiritual enough. Jesus does not condemn sinners so who am I to do that?

Yesterday another drinking session invitation, this time I didn't join them. I love my friends but I must have control or else that could give some negative effects on me.

Lord, give me strengths and wisdom to choose what's right.

After 24...

After 24...

24?...

After 24 years, I've finally met my father.A blog is a diary then I'm doing the right purpose of a blog. Why am I sharing to you this experience of mine? Being an introverted person, this is my only means for now to inspire
you or at least gave you something to read for.

My last blog post sounded like a cry for desperation. I lost my cellphone, my only means of communication with my father. Without any back-up files for my contact numbers, this gave me some regrets but I still have to do something. So I e-mailed one my uncle from Italy, send message in his friendster and facebook
accounts. Still no reply, I can't think of anything to do. Then I remembered that my uncle said he reads my blog so I made a blog post announcing that I had a new cellphone number. For a week, still no calls from my cellphone, so I go back in time when e-mails was not yet invented. I send a snail mail (not really a snail mail, expected to be sent in a day) through delivering service company.

Then here comes July 24,Saturday, and I had a class to teach, it was from 7am 'til 4pm but I only teach 'til 10am. I don't had the drive to teach during that day, I know that laziness was not a reason. But this became at least a perfect timing for me, it was as I remebered 2pm, watching TV and living the life of a
couch potato when someone called through my cellphone.

"Hello."

"Hello Michael"

"Hello 'tay" ("Hello dad")

I instantly realized it was him 'cause I'm expecting him to call for quite a long time. He said that he was in the Philippines asking me if I want to meet him on that very day.

Of course, I won't refuse. I took a bath, dressed-up and told my mother about it. I say goodbye to her, excited to see my father for the first time.

If you noticed, my mother and father had their family of their own and obviously, I lived with Mommy.

I got three step-sisters and a step-brother in my mother's side. I've loved all of them as if they're my full-blooded siblings. I'm very thankful that God gave me those angels in my life.

That day was also the day that I had received my salary as a part-time instructor in a university so, I had the money to travel. The place where we will meet is not that far away. About two hour trip, compare when I had to go in his native province which is about a twelve hours traveling time from our house.

I came to the meeting place at five in the afternoon and I had to wait 'til eight. That wait is nothing compared to 24 years. The meeting place was in a shopping  mall, my cousin texted me that they're about to come so I wait near the entrance door. I want to be ready enough, but unexpectedly someone pat me at the back.

WOW!!! It was my father and I can't believed my eyes, the scene was not so dramatic,I just got some teary eyes. I don't try to resist my emotions just because I'm in a public place. That was the reaction that came up from me, I hugged my father for the very first time(obviously) and just like me, he had a bit introverted personality. When we found a place to eat and have some father and son conversation. 24 years is quite a long time so I had so many things to ask. But, that does not happen, I can't find any words to say.

At the restaurant, I asked some classic questions like "how are you?" and can't find any more words to say. I'm just looking at him, can't believe that this day will come. I don't have any resentment at all with him, I'm just happy to see him face-to-face.

It was more than two years ago, the night before Christmas when he first called me at the phone. He said that he's sorry for what he'd done to me. One of I think my good qualities (ehem!) is I can easily forgive people no matter how much pain they've done to me. I think I'm too lazy to take a grudge with people, it's quite unfair when you've been hurt and you hurt yourself more by your anger.

Yap, I admit it is a painful experience to grew-up without the guide of a father,my case is not really unique. Two of my cousins in my father's side grew-up also without a father. This also happens to sons and daughters who had parent(s) working abroad.

Ahmm, ok back to day I first met him. With my cousin, we go to the condo unit of my uncle nearby the mall where we first met. There we got some quite times together. In a room we're left alone and I hugged him for a long time. I never hugged anyone like that in my entire life before. I almost cry during that moment.

I think the time was 2 o'clock in the morning so he have to have some good enough sleep. Then I  woke up early at 7 o'clock , my father's getting ready to go to his own condo. That was another story to tell. Then I think at nine in the morning of course, he waved goodbye, I'm now with my cousin.

We wait 'til the mall open their stores to find something to eat. Then we got a little conversation also about his experience of living a life without seeing your own father. He's 26 years old and never saw his.We played basketball, the sport that I love but unfortunately, the sports don't love me that much. I will made a shot for
every 20 tries, that's why I refuse to play in college. Anyway, we enjoy playing and getting wet with sweat(eew!). He waved goodbye to me after we had made ourselves more pleasant in looks and smell. We had to part our ways for the meantime.

"Your life can be made even better by the things that break your heart"

Just read it from a book, I love reading and that is one of my simplest pleasures in life. I just want to say that even shortcomings and adversities can be the best thing that could ever happen to you. Unless your six feet under the ground, problem will never get out of your way and their essential for our personal growth.

Being a hyper-duper timid boy, always worried what would other people think. I was always content playing video games since I was seven years old. Now, I'm more watchful when I think that I'm being compulsive again. I'm still a timid boy, still having a hard time looking at other people's eye when talking to them. But, gradually I know that I grew as a better person and will never stop on growing, does we have a choice?

As I continue, more than two weeks after that extraordinary event. Back to my work and having a break with my co-workers(friends). I got again a phone call, I know it was him not because I recognized his voice but because I now have his number.

He invited me to his house, he said his wife and my sister want to see me. I was thrilled to hear that. As far as I know, my step-mother was not happy at first when she learned about me, I can't blame her. I'm just not expecting that she will suddenly accept me. That's the reason that's why I had to meet my father in a mall and have to sleep at my uncle's condo.

I under-timed in my work and excited to see my step-mom and sister for the first time. This is a bit embarrassing, but I was lost finding the address of their home. So my father have to pick me up 'cause I'm like a stray cat finding it's owner. Finally, I saw again my father, I can't explain again how I felt during that time knowing that this time I will saw my step-mom and especially my sister. I got already three(and a brother) so I'm excited to have another one.

So when I saw my newest sister in a function hall, what you expect? I can't say a word again.Another wow experience, overwhelmed, I just shake her hands as though we were business partners. I want to hug her but I hesitated. There's a video-oke (music box), I love to sing and I think she also did. I say to myself that we must at least connect there. While eating, she ask me about where I work and some personal matters as though she's elder than me.

After that I'm thinking that I have to go home even it's a bit late at night. My father and some of my relatives insist to sleep at their house. The truth at the back of my mind, I'm also expecting that.hehe...

At his house, I get to know some of my relatives especially with my sister. I got a great bonding moments also with two of my cousins but the other one only speaks Italian so it's a big language barrier for us. Thanked God my sister speaks Filipino or else I don't know what shall I say, maybe sign language will do.

The day after we go shopping. While me and my father waiting for my step-mom and sister choose their clothes to buy, he asked me if I want to stay 'til they get back to Italy. I have to go back to work, I think at first. How selfish I am to think like that? Work will always be there but these moments with my father,my sister and my step-mom. This don't happens everyday, I have to wait again for at least 2 years.During that day, I'm really ready to go home with my mother, satisfied that at least my step-mom accepted me as part of their family and happy to saw my sister. But when my father asked me to stay, I decided to take the opportunity to savor the moment or this will be another big regret to me.

During those five days, I got some good times with my sister asking about the life I've been through. I asked her the same question and we enjoyed our talk. We got to know each other deeply. She taught me some Italian words and how to swim freestyle, I'm just half the pool and get tired. It looks easy but not to me. She also invite me ice skating, I'm already thinking to file a sick leave in my work when I heard that. But when we were at the place, we just seat beside the by-standers(they're also seating) outside the skating rink enjoying to watched the graceful skaters, whew!

We also go to some of the houses of some of our relatives. Shocks! I got a really big family in my father's side. One of the best thing that I love about is they love to eat. For five consecutive days especially when we go to my relatives', I lived like a king, I eat, eat and eat. From breakfast, lunch, merienda(snack), dinner and between. And between those betweens, there's also betweens. In short I only stop eating when I'm asleep. Good thing I haven't got a lockjaw.

Just like in dinner, they will offer every single food at the table. I never refuse unless there's no space in my plate. I was overwhelmed on the way they treat me, on the attention I got from all of them, they're all been good to me.

Those great times with my father, step-mom, sister, cousins, uncles, aunties, grandma and other new relatives had an expiration date. They had to go back to Italy, my father and step-mom had their job to do, and my sister had to pursue her studies. When time to say goodbye, I hugged my father, step-mom and sister. Although I have to wait again for their return, I knew that I do the right thing to stay with them for a longer time than what I intended. Five days without deodorant and perfume is quite a challenge. I think not just for me but also for the people around me. Yikes! LOL.

After a couple of hours, I'm the one whose supposed to go. I hugged my grandma and my cousins, thankful for giving me one of my most unforgettable week of my life.

There were many other good things happened during those times but for me I've shared enough. Anyway, until now I don't know how my father get my cellphone number.I don't know if it was from my last blog post. I don't really care. So many more important things to be thankful for.

(hingang malalim)

Some parting words, those things were really great experience but that does not happen by itself. It's not just I woke up in the morning beside with my father. It really starts when I was in college. Our field trip was in a place where my father lived, some of my friends remember that once I told them that he lives there. The only thing that I knew about him during that time was his name (it was in my birth certificate) and the province where he live, which happen to be the place where we will go. One of my classmate made a great effort to find their exact location. He knows who he is when he read this blog. Also with our tour guide, Kuya Marney, I don't know the exact things they do but I know that they're been a great blessings and God's instrument to me. God has his own way.

The unexpected is really the only thing you can expect in life.

Forgive me for being dramatic and grammatic. LOL. Sorry for some grammatical errors.I appreciate any corrections regarding with that.

Anyway, I hope you find this blog post fascinating to read. It comes form my personal experiences so no one  have this story in the whole planet except me just like everybody.

Untitled: Find Me the Right Title for This

Ahhh........

Don't know how will I start this blog post. Then, I start this way, with a long ahhhh....., then typing whatever comes to my mind in this very moment. LOL.

I think it's been two weeks as I remember since we eat together with my family, with my step-dad (yap, step-father but it don't bother with me that much, not at all), my three step-sisters, my little step-brother and of course, my mother. I'm not a talkative type of person but I can't help to be so annoying especially with my sisters. They would say "Kuya, umalis ka na nga, gulo mo, eh!" (go out you're so annoying!). I hope I give the right translation. LOL.

We all live at same house, but everyone has their own lives, my eldest sister love to dance, in fact she was more often not at home than me. There are days that we not even see each other although we both live in the same little but beatiful home. Did I say home? Yeah it's not just a house.

My next sister was always at home, loves to study and an avid fan of Demi Lovato. She would sing early in the morning with Demi Lovato's song and sometimes rock ones. Oh no, she's just sitting almost right next to me watching ASAP( Philippine TV show showcasing different artist with different talents  like dancing, singing and many more), and don't get me wrong cause I'm not promoting the show, I hope she would not notice that I include her in this blog post. She would cancel this blog post although  I don't mentioned her name, she was also like me, had a bit introverted personality. One more thing, she also loves to play Farmville. From Facebook, you know? The not so famous social networking site.

My next sister, a seven year old one. I don't know if all the children in that age are with the like of her today. My Lola would always say "Iba na ang kabataan ngayon" (The youth today were very different), and I would say the same thing every time I see her. Like when we were eating she would said "Gusto ko mag-nursing, kasi nakita ko yung babae ang gwapo ng boyfriend" (I want to take-up nursing because a saw a girl with a very good-looking boyfriend). There was a time when I was surprised to just heard her crying, the reason? My two elder sisters read her diary with about "my crush" stuff. She is also a very thoughtful sister and also enjoy studying doing her academic responsibilities.

My youngest brother, four years old. Was sooooooo... energetic, also a very thoughtful little angel but sometimes I admit annoyed me. I came home from work, so tired, all I'm thinking was a luxury of having a good enough sleep. Then came my little brother jumped into my stomach, I was tempted to be so angry but my brother has spider sense like from Spider-Man, do you know him? I feel sorry for you if you don't. Anyway, this spider sense of my little brother can predict when I'm not in the mood. He will say "Sorry tuya" (ah, I can't find a translation, LOL) but the thing is he knows what to do before I react to what he had done. With that, he gave me an instant ease, I completely forgot the pain. I don't know with you, but can you imagine how would you react in that situation? You just want a nice sleep but what you got was an aching belly.

My step-father and my mother, my most wonderful parents. Just like me, has so many flaws but I can feel everyday from the time I woke-up in the morning 'til I fall I sleep how much they love  and care for us. Every morning, all I have to do was to wake-up early to go to work or in school as a part-time instructor in some school in my province because everything was ready. I woke-up 4 o'clock seeing my mother already preparing everything that we need from food to clothes with some bonus advise (sometimes I don't pay attention because my ear was bleeding, you know what I mean). But don't get me wrong, like I said, my parents was not perfect but I will not trade my parents to any other parents in the world. They are the best parents that God has given to me. We choose our friends but not our parents, they are God's gift to us. Maybe you don't believe in that, and I can hear you saying all the reason  why you don't. This is just my opinion, but denying the fact would not remove the fact.

Of course, my father, not my biological one. He's been more than a father to me. My real father was in Italy, I just start talking to him recently, just about 2 years ago. That's another part of my story and I'm not ready to share this you at this point. Then back to my step-father,but first don't get me wrong again, I'm not angry with my real father and I'm just keep mentioning step with my step-father because it's the fact and just for clarification. My father, my step, is a very hard-working man, finding other ways to earn because next year my eldest sister would go to college, he applied abroad and this coming March would leave us for a three-year contract in Lebanon.

I'm also doing my best to find financial freedom by means of internet marketing. I think the very reason I'm sharing to you my personal experiences is because learning from other people's experiences including their mistakes in their lives is for you not to do that mistake earning you more wisdom to make tough decisions that will literary change your life forever. I always said that I am an internet marketer, but I don't even have a credit card, I was always denied because of my salary (now you have an idea how small I earn at work). I have still so many things to learn and sometimes relearn again. There were so many ways to get some payment through the internet, not just in credit card to create Paypal account and autoresponder account, I can use debit card instead which I know I'm qualified. My fears  is the one who gave me excuses why not find plan B,or C or D and so on, when my first plan failed.

But, even though I'm not earning big enough that made my father(you know which one) to apply abroad to find more opportunity there. I believed that you can't failed in internet marketing as long as you don't quit. My mentor Jomar Hilario said "fear is the only thing between you and money in the internet" and I'm slowly realizing the truth in that.

I'm done writing my thoughts but still can't find the right title for this. If you're interested, can you suggest the right one? I can't promise you anything in return but I will deeply appreciate it.

May me all live a fantastic lives! GOD Bless!

Start Small, Dream Big!

I worked in a manufacturing company, a company that fabricate silicon wafers for solar cell panels. The product is in-demand especially in this times where we need some alternative energy source to minimized the effect of global warming.

So why I'm telling you this? Ah, just to tell you that I have a marketing mindset but I'm in still in a stage of being a plain employee in the moment I writing this article.

So you can ask, then now what?

I think but I don't act on it.

Ha. What do you mean by it?

I attended an Internet Marketing Workshop for me to learn how to earn passive income through the internet.I was so grateful that I attended and learned that there were really so many ways to earn ( well, subconsciously I know there were plenty of ways) but how. What I mean by "it" is the things I learned from the workshop. Okay, actually I do some things that I learned the day after the workshop. I feel a lot of a passion inside of me during that time and I make my first ever blog months ago and never add another post to that blog because that is about my opinion about my first internet marketing workshop that I attended. So after that, I connected myself to social networks like pinoynetwizards.ning.com to find more people who also wants to earn through the internet. I learned again a lot from reading some helpful ideas about internet marketing from that site. By the way, pinoynetwizards site is a social network where most of the member where Filipinos who attended the workshop, club members(from internet-based version of the hands-on marketing workshop), or just someone who wants to get involved in earning semi-passive internet-based business. After that, I read books about business like from Robert Kiyosaki. Everytime I earned a salary from my employer, I buy a book of Robert Kiyosaki and try my best to finished reading it so I can buy again another one without really fully understanding what the author really want his readers to understand.

So what the point of all this? My point is I'm so impatient that immediately I want to learn all the things that I think I have to learn eventhough I'm just barely starting. I want to earn big as quick as I can ending up that I lose my focus because there were so things that clutters my mind. I don't know what to do first, I want all of them----blogging, online selling, affiliate marketing, etc. to be done right away.

This was also the mistakes of Bo Sanchez from his article "Don't Limit Yourself", he said:

"Yes, this is my weakness, and I’ve paid dearly for it. But I’m learning. Here’s the reason why we need to start small: Because at the start of our learning curve, we will fail. You can bet your life on that. Beginners will fail, period. But if we start small, our failures won’t crush us. But if we start big right away, our failures will be big too, and we may give up. Believe me, in my businesses, I’ve lost millions because I didn’t know how to start small. I will never forget this lesson because of my very high tuition fees!"

If you will read the whole article, you will be enlightened like me that it doesn't matter how small you start, but its how big your dream is!

By the way, Bo Sanchez is a preacher. I learned a lot from Bo Sanchez' blogs. The articles are so practical that even if you consider yourself a non-religious person, you can still apply them because that is the way he intended those articles to be---be applicable to anyone.

Also want to thank Jomar Hilario, my internet marketing mentor for passionately and generously sharing his ideas in a way that even your great grandmother can understand.

Now lastly, my dreams, well I'm thinking of it-----this must be a big dream. I'll just post it one of this day after I can say to myself that this dream is big enough to make me so excited about that dream. Because like what Bo said:

"Small dreams attract small men. Big dreams attract big men. As well as all the big resources of the universe."

May all our dreams come true by acting on it!
