My Somnio Dream and the Dream of Somnio (Oops, A Contest Entry)

I have to admit, I was motivated to write about this 'cause I want to won in a contest(who won't?). My internet marketing mentor, Jomar Hilario just informed me about the Somnio Running Shoes Blogger Contest from unbox.ph via email a while ago. I think twice for 3 minutes and 38 seconds if I would join in that contest. I thought that it won't hurt if I try so I did. I never joined any kind of contest like this(especially for bloggers). But, aside for the prize is the fun of being with people(virtually) who also wants to join. This could also be an opportunity to express myself by means of this contest.

What is Somnio Running Shoes?

Being a blogger who loves to travel the cyber space, I just typed "Somnio Running Shoes" in  the google toolbar of my FireFox 4 internet browser. Wacha! Drum rolls! Here's the result of my not so intensive research.

This is from somniorunning.com, found out that Somnio is a Latin word for "dream"and the company's dream is to provide the people the lifestyle goals that they want without the pain and injury. Sounds like more than selling running shoes to me.

In short, Somnio Running Shoes' goal is to provide running shoes that will fit perfectly in every specific individual. Every human being has uniqueness, I think Somnio is passionate to give us the perfect shoes for specific me or specific you.

Here's The Reason Why I May Not Be Qualified

This is very dumb if you ask someone to write why I'm not qualified but this is also my way of doing my art. The art of blogging where we (bloggers) had the freedom to write what they want. Forgive my grammars(if there's any error), I just hope that the readers will still understand my simple English. Either you hate me or you like me, oops another reaction is no reaction, haha...

I may not be qualified because I'm not into sports really, when I wake-up in the morning, I'll pray and do 50 sit-ups then prepare to go to work. If I'm not in the mood then I'll ride a tricycle, but if I am then I walk to add to some of my daily physical work-out. I never been a member in a gym, I try to borrow some dumbbells from my neighbor but forgot it later on. I also never joined in any marathon event though I know my skinny body build-up can survive a 10-km marathon. I tell you in my next paragraph why.

Here's The Reason Why I Want That Awesome Running Shoes

I love walking, not that I was raised to be in-loved with sports, not that I'm marathon junkie(heard of Kenyan runners, they're awesome) and definitely not a sleep-walker. I love walking and running as well, because I grown-up this great philosophy, that if I can walk the distance and would not pay for tricycle fare (sometimes jeepney fare) then I would walk instead. 

Pinoys called this kind of people "kuripot" but I call this being practical. I'm not that stingy, I also think that walking instead of riding in a passenger utility vehicle is practical not just in terms of money but also in terms of health. Remember the saying that "Walking is good for the heart" and so I say that "Walking is good for the heart and your pockets." If I will walk everyday using the perfect shoes then I can enjoy more of this practicality giving other people the impression that running shoes was not only for marathon events or any similar ones but also for everyday use just like me drinking my everyday coffee.

Also loved the Unbox FaceBook Page 'cause being online(not always in chat) in FaceBook will keep me updated of what is the latest and coolest things(let's say electronic gadgets) to buy in the Philippines.

I love to have that Somnio Running Shoes, so cool, so different. Different in a way that make a difference. Also love to see myself running(ok, walking most of the time) in that shoes. That's my Somnio(dream). :)
